In modern yoga, much of what we practice is asana, or the physical practice of yoga. Through dedicated practice, these postures allow prana to move more freely and the mind to be calmer, with the additional benefits of improving strength, flexibility, and balance.
We all have different bodies, different sizes and shapes, different length of bones and different genetic makeup. Knowing this, why would we all try to squeeze ourselves into one "perfect" variation of a pose? In this practice, you'll have individual attention that allows you to learn what the perfect variation of each pose is for you and your body.
Join Ellie from Equilibrium and me for a slow, steady physical practice that allows you to dive deep into the intricacies of each posture. We'll move through a more Hatha style class, where we have time to examine the asana commonly found in Vinyasa flow classes. We will provide verbal and physical assists, so that you can make sure that you're practicing the best variation of each posture for your own unique body, so that you can practice with steadiness and ease.
